Steinman, Wayne.

Wayne H. Steinman is has been active in the gay and lesbian community for many years. In 1984, he was hired by New York City Comptroller Harrison J. Goldin as a staff analyst in the Office of Policy Management and as Goldin's liaison to the lesbian and gay community. At the time of his appointment, he was a member or officer of several community organizations. Over the next several years he joined or helped found many more. He collected extensive files on these organizations, often times retaining the original records. He remained with the Comptroller's office until 1990.
