Poet, translator, editor.
Walsh contributed his poetry to HARPER'S, SCRIBNER'S, CENTURY, and other popular magazines from 1900. He translated Spanish poetry under the pseudonyms of Garret Strange and Roderick Gill and wrote essays on Spanish literary topics. He was an associate editor of COMMONWEAL, 1924-1928, and was the Sole Welfare Commissioner to Russia, 1919-1928.
