Metro-North Railroad is a suburban commuter railroad that is operated by the Metropolitan Transportation Authority and provides service in seven New York State counties, New York City, and two counties in the state of Connecticut. It is the second largest commuter railroad in the United States. Metro-North operates along a segment of the railroad lines and stations that were originally owned and operated by the predecessor railroad companies documented in this collection.
