Hart, Dave (David Earl)
Variant namesDave Hart held positions in the United Packinghouse, Food, and Allied Workers (UPFAW) and then in the Amalgamated Meat Cutters and Butcher Workmen of North America (AMC&BWNA) after the 1968 merger of these two unions. He was chief steward for UPFAW Local P-1 at the Morrell plant in Ottumwa, Iowa and then UPFAW District 3 director. Hart served as Meat Cutters regional vice president during the Dakota City, Nebraska IBP strike in the 1960s, and was Meat Cutters District 11 director when the Morrell plant closed in Ottumwa in 1973.
