Philip Philipse, Roger Morris (by his marriage to Mary Philipse) and Beverly Robinson (by his marriage to Susanna Philipse) were the heirs of Frederick Philipse II who died in 1751 and left Philipse's Highland Patent located between Beekman Patent and Cortlandt Manor in Dutchess and Putnam Counties, New York. The Patent was divided among the three and divided again over a conflict of borders with squatters.
