Variant namesCharles Roger Watson (1873-1948), United Presbyterian pastor and missionary; born in Cairo, son of missionaries Margaret and Andrew Watson; founder and president of the American University at Cairo, the library of which bears his name; pastor of the First United Presbyerian Church of St. Louis 1900-1902; appointed Corresponding Secretary of the Board of Foreign Missions (UPCNA) in 1902, a post he retained until 1916.
