Whiting, Billington Crum, 1812-1881.
Billington Crum Whiting (1812-1881) was a lawyer from Owego, N.Y., who came overland to California in 1849, practiced law (was a partner of Cornelius Cole), and became a California State Senator and Superintendent of Indian Affairs.
