A fraternal and cultural organization, the Polish Falcons of America (previously the Alliance of Polish Turners of the United States of America, and the Polish Falcons Alliance of America) was founded in 1887 in Chicago, Illinois. Its headquarters were subsequently moved to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The purpose of the organization is to promote physical, mental, and cultural welfare among its members; it also maintains a mortuary fund. The official publication of the Falcons is the Sokól Polski, which began publication in 1896.
