The General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches was organized at York County, Nebraska in 1879. The Conference met annually from 1879 to 1909, after which it met triennially until 1993. At its 1993 sessions the Conference adopted a biennial meeting schedule. The General Conference of Mennonite Brethren Churches was dissolved in 2002.
