He worked for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (formerly NYS Conservation Department) in positions of increasing responsibility from 1955-1986. He was Superintendent of the Bureau of Land Acquisition from 1973-1976 and Regional Director for Region 3 from 1976-1977.
