Van Valkenburgh, Norman J. (Norman James), 1930-

Norman Van Valkenburgh was Director of the Division of Lands and Forests for the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation from 1977-1986. He worked for the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation (formerly NYS Conservation Department) in positions of increasing responsibility from 1955-1986. He was Superintendent of the Bureau of Land Acquisition from 1973-1976 and Regional Director for Region 3 from 1976-1977.
