Asahel Bush Jr. (1824-1913) was a publisher, banker and Democratic political leader.

He sailed to Oregon via Isthmus of Panama and arrived in Astoria and later Portland in 1850. He became the editor and publisher of the Statesman. In 1853, he transferred his plant to Salem. In 1868, he became associated with W.S. Ladd in the Salem, Ladd & Bush Bank. He married Eugenia Zieber. They had four children.
