Smith, James Hopkins, 1881-1967
Variant namesJames Hopkins Smith, Jr., who summered in Maine, served as officer in the Navy during World War I, after graduating from Harvard. After the Armistice, he served with the Peace Commission in Paris. Before and after the war he sailed on several ships, including the ketch Matchless, the ship Nahma, and the ship Ventura.
