Griscom, Samuel S., 1802-1878.
Samuel S. Griscom was a Hicksite Quaker schoolteacher. The son of William and Anne Stewart Griscom, Samuel S. was born in Salem, New Jersey, and moved from Wilmington, Delaware, to Philadelphia, and then back to New Jersey in 1842. He married Sidney Gillingham and they had six children.
