Draper, Daniel, 1841-1931
Variant namesDaniel Draper established the New York Meteorological Observatory in Central Park, New York in 1868, and served as its director from 1868 to 1911. He also patented a self-recording barometer. C.W. Knudsen was an artist and advocate for spelling reform.
