Samuel Miller (1769-1850); licensed by Lewes Presbytery, 1791; called to the United Presbyterian Churches of New York in 1793; elected moderator of the General Assembly (1806); instrumental in the establishment of the Princeton Theological Seminary; in 1813 became its Chairman of Ecclesiastical History and Church Government).
His son, Samuel Miller Jr. (1816-1838); tutor and lawyer; ordained by the Presbytery of New Brunswick; served several congregations in New Jersey; Director of Princeton Seminary, 1864- ; moderator of the New Jersey Synod (1879).
