Variant namesIn 1959 Daniel M. Luevano served as consultant to the Committee on Ways and Means, California State Assembly, chaired by Jesse M. Unruh. From 1960 to 1964 he served as chief deputy director, Department of Finance, State of California, during the administration of Edmund G. (Pat) Brown, Sr. He directed the Western Region office of the federal Office of Economic Opportunity from 1965 to 1967, later directed the Western Center for Law and Poverty, Inc., and from 1980 and at the time of the interview was an attorney, Bureau of Family Support Operations, Office of the District Attorney, Los Angeles County.
