Walter Morawski was born at Buffalo, N.Y., on Oct. 26, 1904. He graduated from Carnegie Tech in the 1930s and left Pittsburgh for Akron, Ohio.

to take a position as a layout man and typographer. In 1937 Morawski moved to Philadelphia where he spent the remainder of his professional career. During the next 30 years Morawski remained active in professional printers associations.
