Allston family.
Family of Georgetown County, South Carolina. Robert F.W. Allston, a plantation owner and politician, married Adele Petigru (1810-1896). Among their children were: Charles Petigru Allston (1848-1922); Jane Louise Allston, who married Charles Albert Hill; Adele Allston, who married Arnoldus Vanderhorst (1835-1881); and Elizabeth ("Bessie") Waties Allston (1845-1921), who married John Julius Pringle (1842-1876).
