Isaacs (1891-1965) (Cincinnati, M.D. 1918) worked with Dr. George Richards Minot on pernicious anemia at Huntington Hospital in Boston, Mass. In 1927 he became assistant director of the Simpson Memorial Institute for Medical Research at the University of Michigan. He also taught and conducted research at the University of Michigan. In 1940 he went to Chicago where he was affiliated with several hospitals and entered private practice.
