Baruch Nadel was born in Palestine on February 10, 1926. He was a member of the Haganah from 1942 to 1947, studied mathematics at the Hebrew University from 1945 to 1947, and joined the Lohamei Herut Israel ("Lehi") in 1948. Nadel served with the Israeli Defense Forces from 1951 to 1953. From 1957 to 1967 he was the manager of Nadel Advertising and in 1968 he joined the staff of the newspaper Yediot Aharonot. He is the author of books on Israeli history and politics.
