Susan Helms (b. Feb. 26, 1958, Charlotte, NC) is a lieutenant general in the US Air Force. Prior to that she was a test pilot and astronaut. With NASA she served on the Endeavour (STS-54), Discovery (STS-64), Columbia (STS-78), Atlantis (STS-101), and Expedition 2 to the International Space.
