Gardner, Martin
Martin Gardner was born October 21,m 1914, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. His varied literary career included work as a journalist, editor, and writer. He was a mathematician who had an asteroid named after him, and has received other awards and honors, mostly in the field of science. He is perhaps best known as a skeptic and debunked. In the field of children's books, he was much influenced as a child by the stories of L. Frank Baum, and has written many articles about him. He has also produced annotated versions of Lewis Carroll's Alice books.
