Buist and Buist (Charleston, S.C.)
Brothers Henry and George L. Buist formed this law firm formed shortly after the Civil War in Charleston, S.C.; Henry Buist was married to Francis Ravenel Buist and their sons, George Lamb and Henry, joined the firm in 1914 and 1927 respectively; firm merged in 1960 to become Buist, Buist, Smythe and Smythe; following a subsequent merger in 1970, the firm operated as Buist, Moore, Smythe and McGee.
