Francis Rawn Shunk (1788-1848) was a lawyer and governor of Pennsylvania.

Francis R. Shunk (1788-1848) was the tenth governor of Pennsylvania from 1845 to 1848. In 1844 Shunk ran for governor as a Democrat, narrowly beating Whig candidate Joseph Markle. Shunk resigned in 1848, the year he died of tuberculosis. Shunk Hall on the University Park campus of Pennsylvania State University is named in his honor.
