Smith, Samuel, 1737-1817

Samuel was a Quaker from Philadelphia. He was born ca. 1738, the son of Robert Smith of Buckingham Monthly Meeting of Friends. In 1763 he married Mary Woolston, the daughter of John Woolston of Middletown. Samuel Smith was a travelling Quaker minister whose journeys took him to New England as well as London and Liverpool.
