Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia for the Northern District
Variant namesThe Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia for the Northern DIstrict was established in 1772 by Philadelphia Quarterly Meeting by a division of the Monthly Meeting of Friends of Philadelphia. At the time of the Separation, Northern District remained with the Orthodox, and the Hicksites in this area affiliated with Green Street Monthly Meeting. Northern District Monthly Meeting was discontinued in 1914, and its members were attached to Philadelphia Monthly Meeting (Orthodox).
