Osman, John
Osman (1907-1978) was an economic historian and urban consultant. He worked at several colleges, including Presbyterian College in South Carolina and Southwestern College in Memphis, Tennessee before joining the Ford Foundation in 1952, where he became vice-president of its Fund for Adult Education. From 1961 until his retirement in 1975, Osman was a senior fellow and urban specialist with the Brookings Institution and ran its urban policy conferences program.
