Born 1900 on Ellerslie Swenson Ranch in Jones County, Texas. Graduated UT-Austin 1923. Married Harriet Womack, 1933, in Duncan, Oklahoma, and on Board of Regents of UT in 1947. In 1927, was elected director of the Southwest Cattleman's Association. President of Stamford, Texas Chamber of Commerce, 1942.
