Gresham, James, 1815-1854.
James Gresham (1815-1854) and his wife Sarah Ashford (1824-1893) were born in Sumpter and Choctaw counties, Alabama, respectively.
They moved to Grimes County, Texas, sometime between 1845 and 1855 and had six children. James was a school teacher and farmer. Sarah later married George V. Sawyer, in 1868. The Gresham children lived their adult lives in Llano and Blanco counties, Texas.
