Haaland, Gordon A.
Gordon A. Haaland was serving as Vice President of Academic Affairs when President Evelyn Handler left UNH. He was appointed interim president and eventually president after a long selection process. He was inaugurated on October 4, 1984. He served as President of the University of New Hampshire until he left to become President of Gettysburg College in 1990.
