Frank Ellis Smith (1918-1997) was the Director of the Kennedy-Johnson Natural Resources Advisory Committee in 1960. He was also a senator in the Mississippi state legislature from 1948 to 1950, a representative for the Third District of Mississippi in the U.S. Congress from 1950 to 1962, and Director of the Tennessee Valley Authority from 1962 to 1972.
