In 1971 they mounted an exhibition at the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York entitled "Abstract Design in American Quilts", helping to fuel the quilt revival of the 20th century. Portions of Holstein's quilt collection and research were included in Ferrero Film's documentary, "A Legacy of Hearts and Hands".
