Benjamin Childs was a professor in the Dept. of Education at Duke University from 1924-1957. He was born in Atlanta, GA and educated at Young Harris College and the University of Virginia. Prior to coming to Duke, he worked in school systems in Georgia and South Carolina and headed the Dept. of Education at Randolph-Macon College. He was active in the Methodist Church.
