Real estate developer and city builder of Abilene, Texas. Born 1877. Owned extensive ranch and oil lease holdings. Grandson of the Texas pioneer attorney, author, and ex-Confederate general John Sayles. In addition to his active interest in politics, Henry Sayles was an avid collector of autographs, books, and maps. Died in 1957.
