Mindell Dubansky, a native of Baltimore, Md., received her BFA in Drawing and Printmaking at Carnegie-Mellon University in 1976. She subsequently attended Pratt Institute and from 1981-82 pursued a one-year course in fine bookbinding and book restoration at the Camberwell School of Arts and Craft in London; in 1988 she received an MLS degree, with an advanced certificate in library preservation administration, from Columbia University. Dubansky has been employed by the Thomas J. Watson Library of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York, N.Y. since 1982, where she is currently Associate Museum Librarian and head of the Preservation/Conservation Unit. Dubansky has been a member of the Grolier Club since 1990.
