Athos property and Oxford Furnace in Campbell County, mills and railroads; researched family genealogy, especially the Bolling, Hobbs, and Imboden families, especially Gen. John Daniel Imboden (1823-1895) and his brothers; author, with William R. Dunn, of Historical sketches from The Iron Worker; member, Sarah Winston Henry Branch, the Association for the Preservation of Virginia Antiquities; member, steering committee for Blackwater Creek Natural Area (Lynchburg, Va.); served on Riverfront Study Committee and Public Works Museum committee; member, Historic Redevelopment and Events Committee, Lynchburg (Va.)
