Faxlanger, Walter, 1902-1980.
Faxlanger owned an independent gasoline service station in Amherst, N.Y., from 1929 to 1963. He was active in organizing and leading the Buffalo and Suburban Gasoline Retailers Association (1946-1966), which became affiliated with the New York State Council of Gasoline Dealer Associations. He worked to promote legislation at all levels on behalf of local gasoline retailers, especially against encroachments of large oil corporations on their business.
