Clark, Badger, 1883-1957
Variant namesPoet. Wrote on western themes. Father a founder of Dakota Wesleyan University (Mitchell, S.D.). Contracted tuberculosis while student there (1902) and moved to Arizona where worked as ranch hand. Returned to South Dakota (1910) and spent entire life there. Published poems include "Sun and Saddle Leather" (1915) and "Sky Lines and Wood Smoke" (1935).
