Claussen, Francis F.
Francis F. Claussen, a native of Boston, Massachusetts, was an assayer at the United States Mint at New Orleans, Louisiana, beginning in 1885. Dr. Benjamin Silliman (1816-1885), a chemistry professor, organized the Sheffield Scientific School at Yale University.
