Harvard, class of 1852; long time resident of Cambridge, Mass.; lawyer; director of numerous corporations, including Atchison, Topeka, and Santa Fe Railroad, Boston and Roxbury Mill Corp., etc.; trustee of Suffolk Savings Bank, Perkins Institute, etc.; choir master at Christ Church, Cambridge, Mass.; member of the Chorus Club of the Handel and Haydn,; president of the Cecila Society; president and treasurer of the Harvard Musical Assoc.; treasurer and vice-president of the New England Conservatory; etc.
