Thurman, Lawrence C.
Thurman discusses William C. Peters who lived in Pittsburgh form 1827-1882 or 1883 and owned a music store. Peters became associated with the Harmony Society, a community with a highly accomplished musical life. Peters went on to run a successful music publishing business, publishing two Stephen Foster first songs.
