McLaughlin, Drew, 1882-
Drew McLaughlin, born in Hiawatha, Kansas in 1882, began his career as a newspaperman at the age of ten, with an apprenticeship on the Hiawatha World. He owned and operated the Sabetha Herald for five years, worked on the Topeka Capitol and the Salina Union, and in 1920 bought the Miami Republican at Paola. He was Kansas Editor of the Year in 1965.
