Biographical note: Rose Hill was born April 6, 1879 in Washington County, Mississippi. In 1913, she moved to Tucson where she worked for 12 years for Meyers & Bloom. At some point, she completed a correspondence business course. About 1926, she moved to San Francisco and at a later date she returned to Tucson to live with her sister Blanche Hill.
