Missionary; born Elizabeth Carolyn Quakenbush on March 13, 1913, in Cleveland; committed her life to Christ, ca. 1935; joined Africa Inland Mission, ca. 1939; missionary in French Equatorial Africa, 1940-1944; missionary in the Belgian Congo, 1944-1960; married to fellow missionary Paul Pinney Stough, 1945; missionary in the Congo after independence, 1960-1964; missionary in Kenya, 1964-1976; retired and returned to the US in 1976.
