Merrill, Anna Darby
Variant namesRichmond, Utah, was first settled in 1859. In 1860, the LDS Church president Brigham Young told the settlers to move their houses closer together and build a fort for better protection from the Indians. Richmond residents built the fort on what is now Center Street.
