Amalgamated Metal Workers' Union (Australia). New South Wales Branch.
Tom Wright was on the NSW Branch Executive of the Sheet Metal Working, Agricultural Implement and Stove Making Industrial Union of Australia from 1924. He was NSW Branch Secretary 1936-72, and Federal President from 1940-72. After the formation of the Amalgamated Metal Workers Union in September 1972, Wright became NSW Branch President and Vice-President of the Commonwealth Administrative Committee of the AMWU.
