The pamphlet series was produced by the European Theater of Operations unit of the United States Army. Specifically, the series was issued by the Orientation Branch, Information and Education Division. Information was supplied by various Army generals, commanders, and their staffs. There is a space for the enlistee to record his/her name, date of enlistment, date of arrival in the European Theater, and decorations earned. There is also a space at the back of many of these pamphlets in which to record the autographs of fellow service personnel.
