Catharine Gibson was an American woman living in England when she compiled the album. Page two has a view of Yale College and the State House in New Haven with a label saying "My Native Land." Underneath is an engraving of the Merchants' Exchange, New York, followed by one of George Washington engraved by W. Humphreys.
