White and Kirk Company.
Began in the 1890s as a grocery store in Amarillo, Texas, by Dr. M. W. Cunningham. Bought out by his partner, E. W. White, in 1896, and expanded into a general mercantile. His brother-in-law, R. D. Kirk, later joined him as a partner and eventually became company president.
